My “Make Money Online” mini research.
I set up this rajawang.com in the Making Money Online niche and will maintain it that way since I don’t think it is impossible to make a name in the field, contrary to an article by Gaman of Sabahan.com in his article A beginners guide to making money on the internet. Of course i got other sites that are generating more earnings than this but this is a challenge that I am more than willing to take.
Recently, I have talk about Importance of Search Engines Ranking before, but the question that comes up to my mind is did the top 3 search in the “Make Money Online” keywords blogs really made lot of money from it?
No 1: http://moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com/
Yes, a blogspot site! I think this guy is a SEO Master Guru!! He managed to get the number 1 spot in making money online search from google!
No 2: http://www.carlocab.com/
This site is supposedly run by a 13 year old from the Philippines! Can you believe that? I certainly don’t believe it, not a bit. The RSS count is at 300+ so this site is doing just fine.
No 3: http://www.successwithauctions.com/
Most of the blog above uses more than 3 source of monetizing their internet income. “Never put all your eggs in one basket”, it is true!. None of the above articles give a hint on their incomes/earnings online but i am sure they are doing good because of the organic mega traffic that was generated from google searches.
I hope i will be rank on the first 3 pages of Make money online google search by the end of the year.
Cheers.

Hi there,
Of course it’s not impossible but it’s harder to attract the traffic from the search engines.
One obvious example is that there’s apparently no “how to make money” blogs in Malaysia that are as successful as other blogs that belong in the tech and political niche.
Look at Technorati top 100, there’s not that many “how to make money or blogging” blog in the list.
I don’t think the term “make money online” brings a lot of traffic.
5xmom.com for instance is ranked no 4 for the more competitive term “make money”, and from its Sitemeter, the term brings in less than a hundred visitors per day (may be less than 50).
Anyway, if you are passionate about writing how to make money blog and you don’t expect immediate returns (like me hehe), by all means do it.
Hey you just gave me an idea about a topic I should write about
Thanks.

@Gaman-Yes you right about the harder competition in the make money online niche, but if we never tried we will never know..
And of course we can never survive in this online business on one site alone(esp. on money making blogs that received under 30 hits like mine, thank goodness I have other that generates a steady income..:P), I think all full time ‘netpreneur’ must diversify the sites that they maintain to make sure the earnings is stable enough to support our living.
Thanks and you are welcome.

I think to be on top of Google search, we need a good SEO technique (which I don’t know how) and a good Google adword campaign (need a lot of moeny for this, which I also don’t have)…
