Zul of skorcareer emailed me asking if I can do a review for his blog since I am giving away 5 Free review during this Independence Day Celebration. I promptly say yes, since what better way it is to start than to review a fellow Malaysian site?

Skorcareer.com is a blog that focus mainly on job opportunities, resume and letter writing tips and also loan/scholarship for students. The author, Zulkifli Musa with vast experience working for company such as Dell, Intel and Jobstreet claimed to be an independent consultant helping job seeker in Malaysia. The blog was design to be simple and optimized for easy reading with the red/maroon colored theme.

The blog is regularly updated and the content is good. The about page is very detailed, which is good. The google adsense ads are properly implemented and there is also a text link that you can buy for RM40/month on the top right corner of his PR4 blog. But some improvement/comments that I recommend to Zul are:

1. There is too much white space on the right after the sidebar ends.
2. The title of the sidebar need to be bold or darker.
3. The google search box is too wide for the sidebar, and I think it is better to blend it to match the blogs background color.
4. The blog’s categories is much better listed down than in a dropdown list.

Of course the above comments are based on my opinion alone, and the theme design being a personal and subjective matter it is up for Zul to consider it.

In short, Skorcareer is the alternative place for job seeker to find job openings, career talks, tips and article in the job seeking niche.
