I finally got the time to go out and withdraw my adsense earnings using Western Union for the very first time yesterday. The payment was send on the 25th October and made payable on the 1st November.

Things you need to bring:

1. National Identity Car(IC)
2. MTCN Number
3. Google’s Name and address.
4. A Photocopy of your IC.

I have read on LiewCF’s blog about being asked the reason for this kind of payment from the Bank’s officer and I have set my answer “Payment for Online commision”. But to my amazement, the lady did not even ask about it and just process it in around 5 minutes and a bunch of hard cold cash was already in my hand!

The process is way better than waiting for adsense cheques to clear up which can take up to 44 days.

FYI, I made my withdrawal at CIMB Sagunting, Kota Kinabalu which got a special counter for Western Union and I was a bit lucky there are not so many people around yesterday. I even asked the lady whether there is anyone else withdrawing this before this and she said no. That only means that they is not enough bloggers around at my place! Or maybe you are withdrawing it at other banks or post offices?

Currency Conversion Rate

I got a USD1~MYR3.313 conversion for my withdrawal. That is not bad at all. I heard you can get better rate from RHB banks but I have not tried that yet. From what I know, the rates are changing daily according to the USD-MYR currency rates exchange.

Conclusion

I can wait for my next trip to CIMB bank to withdraw my October earnings next month!
