To cash out or not?
To cash out or not? That’s the question.
Before you say ‘cash out’! Look at the screenshot below;
Firstly I have emailed them early January about this problem, and got a reply:
I have post about this early Feb, and got a comment from one of their support man:
Nearly 4 months ago still no signs of my cheques. I am not going to call them about this problem. I just want to settle it the way it should be done. Online.
So, the answer of whether to cash out or not: Don’t bother, it won’t matter after all.
BTW, I want to share this cute photo:

Cheers.

I’m suprised you still stick with Advertlets. I gave up on them ages ago. They cause way too much problem than they solve.

Hi, please reply to our e-mail confirming your full name in your Advertlets profile (as per your cheque payee name). Thanks.

Today is exactly 2 months since I last requested to encash my earning. As of today, it stands still as ‘unprocessed’. My inquiry with Advertlets support 3 days ago is yet to get attention and perhaps will go unnoticed. It is embarrassing to treat publishers like this.
This is not the first problem I encountered as others have their own set of issues too. Today, I am starting to question the real credibility of homegrown Malaysian advertising networks. The problem is that we bloggers are not ‘unionized’, most of the time, we’re ‘fighting’ with them on our own. With the increasing number of advertising networks, perhaps the time has come for us to think of some sort of alliance that will protect fellow bloggers from unfair treatment and practices.
Currently we have the National Alliance of Bloggers headed by Ahiruddin (Rocky’s Bru). This is a good start but I am not where it is headed now, really as I only found limited information about it.
In case of you, Rajawang, that’s a lot of money we’re talking about. Banner advertising does not take up small amount of space. You deserve to hold every single cent credited to your account. If we choose to ignore then more bloggers will be victimized soon. We must do something about it otherwise we will always stay on the losing end.

Here’s an idea; why not just file a case with the Consumer Claims Tribunal. Advertlets is a registered Malaysian company and thus, they can definitely be “chased” through the tribunal.
The cost is only RM5 to file a case with the Consumer Claims Tribunal. Just bring a printout of the unreleased payments. You should also print out all the relevant terms and conditions.
If they don’t seem willing to settle the issue amicably, then make them send a representative all the way to your nearest Consumer Claims Tribunal.
By the way, here is a list of addresses for the Consumer Claims Tribunal offices in Malaysia.

That’s a good idea. Thanks for the good advice. BTW, I have never heard this kind of case in the consumer claims tribunal. Anyone?
But I will give them by the end of this Mac before acting. I just cash out the remaining RM400 last week just to make it a bigger case. lol.

I agree with you..
Even adsense which is much bigger company than them are treating publisher better(in terms of payments and customer service), although they are thousand miles from us.
