Brand New PC Setup for Rajawang.
For the past 2-3 weeks, I am quite occupied in doing little research of PC hardware and buying components for my brand new PC setup. You need to do some research to find out the best hardware and most importantly the price before going to buy the thing. I like buying the parts and then setting it myself because it is what will give the most satisfaction in term of performance and speed.
The good news is that my PC is finally done.
I am now running dual boot vista with xp because I need to run some programs(ehem and games) in xp that is still unsupported in vista.

The maximum score is 5.9. 
I think this is fast enough, even faster than Gaman’s brand new XPS.
My PC specs are:
- Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 3.00GHZ
- Gigabyte GA - N650SLI-DS4L Motherboard
- 4GB 800hz OCZ High Performance RAM (Dual Channel Technology)
- NVidia Geforce 8600GT (SLI Enabled
- NVidia Geforce 8600GT (SLI Enabled)
- Gigabyte 550W Pure Power PSU
- Hitachi 250GB SATA Hardisk
- Samsung DVD-RW
- Apacer 5 in card reader + USB front Slot
- Transparent Acrylic Casing
- 2 Zalman Fan for cooling-Side & front

The total cost is estimated at RM3000 since the processor alone cost RM650, The 8600GT graphic card RM310 each, Motherboard RM500, Hardisk RM180, RAM 90 Each x 4 pieces. I am lucky that I managed to go to Lowyat to buy the motherboard and graphic card during my last outstation.
But since I am doing a lot of work using my computer everyday, I think it is worth the investment and I can happily say that the cost is from my online earnings.
Having a fast, stable and reliable pc setup is a must for any ‘Internet Mogul’ wannabe. Haha.

Congrates on the new PC. I agree that having the best PC you could afford is important if you are truly serious about making money online.
One thing though, you can’t compare a desktop to a laptop. Given similar specs, in most cases, a desktop wins hand down over a laptop.
Even my four your old dekstop RAM is faster than my laptop XPS RAM. You score is determind by the lowest subscore so in your case it’s 5.2. A very good score indeed.

Wah, you choose the high end components for your new PC. Must be running very fast with 3GB RAM and fast processor. You are truly an internet mogul that makes online income so simple.

You are running Vista and XP in dual boot…I think you need to share how to do that it is a valuable information indeed and your PC really rock…

Tahniah on your new PC. I like the casing…transparent looks cool,
Maybe you should consider getting a SATA or SAS hard drive.
