As I have mentioned earlier in my post, I have decided to do away with adsense ads in all my blog to experiment whether there is still live outside adsense in this make money online business. The result below is from 1st July til 7th July 2008. I am not expecting to get USD$30-USD$40 if I am using adsense because it is just a different kind of program.

The first week Result

First up is Bidvertiser. I have tried bidvertiser before and it failed me. But that is only for a certain blog and not on all of my blogs. So, the result is still dissapointing although I managed to earn more than the last time I tried it for 2 weeks. But again 138 clicks amounting to only USD$9.07 is discouraging to say the least. Still it is early in the month, so anything can happen just like adsense.

Next is Adbrite.

Adbrite managed to perform better than Bidvertiser with US$58.39 so far. That is around USD$9 a day which is still good as a adsense replacement. The good thing with adbrite is that you can choose higher priced ads to show up in your ads if any. Hopefully some advertiser will buy my ads space higher than the current which is running. For 86 clicks that translate to USD$58.39 is encouraging.

Summary

Widgbetbucks, Kontera and Nuffnang is performing normally just like in previous months.

The main difference between adsnse and these two ads company is that adsense managed to give ads that is contextually matched with your blog’s content in contrast to adbrite and bidvertiser that you can only choose the category of your preffered ads.

Bidvertiser allows you to put unlimited ads in your blog. Adsense only allow 3 ads per page.

I will be satisfied if I can earn at least USD$500 from these two ads company for this month. Hopefully this experiment will give some valuable information regarding with adsense replacement to all of you.

As I said earlier in my Top 5 recommended money makers post, I am doing an experiment of ditching Adsense completely(except for rajawang and my personal blog) in this month of *July 2008. I know some of you might say I am letting a month’s of good income down the drain but I think this is the thing that I need to do so that I can fully test life without adsense.

I am not banned from adsense. Don’t worry about that. I do receive the occasional emails from adsense e.g letting me know that sometimes my other ads in the blog looks similar to adsense and ask to change it, sometimes the contain is against some of adsense TOC etc.

I have learned a lot from Adsense since I started blogging about 14 months ago. Much much more than I ever imagine from making in this make money online world. See the screen shot below:

USD$10K is way beyond my dream when I first signup with adsense and earned $0.01 on my first day.

So what ads company shall I use other than Adsense?

I believe in giving someone another chance if he/she fails at the first time of asking. And the same goes for an advertising company. So, I will give Bidvertiser another chance although they disappoint me some time ago. Maybe the time that I gave it back then is insufficient. Now I am giving them a full month.

I will also try adbrite in some of my blogs.

I will continue with Widgetbucks since they are giving me steady income of USD70-USD100 a month from the first day I put their ads in my blogs.

Shoppingads@auctionads will again be counted to bring in at least USD50 this month.

Nuffnang will complete the lineup for this month.

My Target for this month

As you can see from the excel chart above, I earned on average of USD$140 from income other than adsense a month. So based on my calculation, I will be very happy if I can tripled that amount to around USD$400 for this month. That will be about third of what I get alltogether if I am using adsense. USD400 is around MYR1,200 in local currency and that will sufficient for me at the time being. Anything more will be a bonus.

Conclusion

I am confident that I will reach that USD$400 mark, how bad can the replacement ads fare? since I am sure that my traffic this month will be more the same with or without any ads going on.
